strange. Did you install anything recently?

Please help, on the lock screen my s4 is all of a sudden asking for a recovery password which isn't my normal lock code, when I try my normal lock code a message come up saying that was my one attempt press ok to wipe data (which I don't want to happen so I remove the battery). The strange thing is the is still connected to 4g wifi and I can receive incoming calls but when I end the call it goes back to the recovery passed screen. Also I can see emails and texts come through but I cannot get into the phone to view them. Also my galaxy gear connects and I can make calls and send text through that any ideas????
