Transferring Audio Files from a Computer:

    1. Use the USB cable to establish a connection between your ZTE ZMAX and computer
    2. From the smartphone's home screen, swipe the "Notification" bar down
    3. Ensure that the connection type is set to "Media device (MTP)"
    4. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer" > "OK"
    5. While browsing the phone's storage, access the "Media" folder
    6. In the "Media" folder, there should be two folders named "Ringtones" and "Alarms". If they are missing, create them manually
    7. There should also be an "Audio" folder under "Media", which should contain the "Notifications" folder. (once again, create them manually if they are missing)
    8. Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the desired audio files stored on your PC
    9. Copy the desired files and paste them in the appropriate subfolder located in the "Media" folder
    10. After the transfer is complete, click the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon from the system tray
    11. Click "Safely Remove Mass Storage Device" > "OK"
    12. Safely disconnect your smartphone from the computer

    Changing Your Phone's Ringtone:

    1. Tap "Apps" while viewing a home screen
    2. Tap "Settings" and go to "Sound"
    3. Tap "Phone ringtone"
    4. Select the ringtone you wish to set and tap "OK" to confirm
    5. Optionally, mark or clear the check box associated with "Vibrate when ringing"

Changing the Ringtone for One Particular Contact:

NOTE: You can't set custom ringtones to contacts that are stored on the SIM card or the phone's internal memory.

    1. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    2. Launch the "Contacts" application
    3. Select the contact you wish to assign a custom ringtone to
    4. Tap the "Menu" icon depicting three vertical dots
    5. Tap "Set ringtone" and select the desired ringtone
    6. Press "OK" to confirm and save the changes

    Change the Notifications Sound:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Sound"
    3. Tap "Default Notification Sound" and choose a sound from the list
    4. To apply the changes, tap "OK"
