If it doesn't have an SD card there is no way to get data off of the internal memory without the help of a professional that specializes in data recovery. It's not just something you can open up the phone and remove. It's soldered to the motherboard of the phone.

So I bought a new battery hoping maybe it was a battery issue but it is not. The screen turns on for about a second or 2 then shuts off then immediately turns on, then shuts off, and repeat. Not sure what that means. But what kind of memory is inside it? Would it be possibly for me to take out the memory, buy an adapter of some kind and then hook it up to my computer? I don't need the phone anymore so I don't mind breaking it or taking it apart, as long as I get the memory.

Which LG chocolate is it? The original VX8500? If so, it has an SD card slot, and if it's in there it might have the pictures on it if the camera was set to save the pictures to the card. Then you can just plug the card into a reader like this: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...P4I7MFUIL2UKS5 and see if there is anything on it.

If there isn't an sd card, then you'll have to find a way to repair the phone. Water damage can sometimes be fixed by taking everything apart and cleaning very carefully with pure alcohol. It's likely the battery isn't good any longer, so you may be able to get power to it with the charger alone. It needs to be able to turn on to get anything out of the internal memory.

Kind of an obscure question but here it goes. I have a broken LG chocolate that got waterlogged back in the day. Because of that, it no longer turns on. This happened years ago and I just ended up buying a new phone. But recently a family member passed away and there's photos on the phone that I'd like to have. I tried plugging it into my computer but nothing happens since the phone can't turn on.

So is there any way for me to open up the phone and take out the memory? Like is there an mini SD card inside or is it something else entirely? Thanks for the help in advance.

The model number is vx8550blk btw.
