The answer is 'yes' you can change your number , call customer service and if you recently changed then you can buy new SIM for $10 with new number assigned to it and ask customer service to transfer your funds from the old one.
And I didn't pay for that transaction !

Call CS and they will do one free number change once every 6 months for you. It might be $15 when you change more often. Here's the hitch. I got a new number and some computer at a bank was text me 6 times a day eating up my minutes on this new number. I asked for a new number and they said it counts toward the 1 free every 6 months.
