I'm inclined to try SwifKey. Is that a safe thing to do? I.E. can I install it, use it, and fall back to what I have now without something going wrong and ending up with a non-functioning phone? If that sounds paranoid it's only because I've used a lot of computers over a long period.

    Thanks tavenger5 for your help.

I would recommend you replace your stock keyboard (which doesn't support two language dictionaries at the same time) with either this:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...htype.swiftkey
    or this:
    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...ce.swype.trial

Goth are paid apps, but if they're worth it to you then so is the price.

    Hi All,

I use Go SMS Pro 6.2 (although I am certainly not very fond of it) on a Nexus 5 - Android 4.4.4. I guess it must be using the standard Nexus 5 keyboard because I see nothing about language and keyboard settings in the Go SMS Pro settings.

The problem results from the fact that I often send messages in Spanish or a mix of Spanish and English. And the keyboard is hell bent on making many Spanish words into English words. According to "Add-on Dictionaries" I have several dictionaries "Installed" including English and Spanish. It's obviously using only the English dictionary. And I see no where to tell it to use both the English and the Spanish dictionary. I'm a terrible *****er so I need it to identify mis*****ed words. I would be willing to turn off auto-correction but I haven't been able to find a place/way to do that.

I'll be grateful for any advice, pointers, or sympathy.

    Thanks, Bob
