    Back Up the HTC Desire 626 to Google Drive:

    1. From the home screen, swipe the "Status" bar down
    2. Go to "Settings" and tap "Backup & Reset"
    3. Tap "Backup account" > "HTC Account"
    4. Sign in with your HTC account, or alternatively use a Facebook or Google account
    5. In the "Cloud Storage" menu, tap "Google Drive" > "OK"
    6. Sign in with your Google account to gain access to Drive
    7. Tap "Automatic backup" to "ON" to allow auto backups
    8. To manually back up data, tap "Back up now"
    9. Optionally, you can set your phone to create daily backups via Wi-Fi by going to "Settings" > "Back up phone daily over Wi-Fi"

    Restore Data from Google Drive After a Factory Reset:

    1. Once you reboot your phone for the first time after a fresh reset, tap "Restore from HTC Backup"
    2. Sign in with the account containing the backup
    3. Go to the history menu and choose the desired backup
    4. Tap "Next" and sign in with your Google account
    5. Allow HTC Backup to connect to Drive, and tap "Next" once the files have been restored

    Create Local Backups and Restoring Data

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open the "Phone" app
    2. Go to the "People" tab
    3. Press "Menu" > "Manage contacts"
    4. Tap "Import / Export contacts" and select "Export to SD Card"
    5. Tap "Export to phone storage"
    6. Choose the type of account you want to use
    7. To set a password for the backup file tap "Yes"
    8. Press "OK" to create the backup

    Restore Contacts:

    1. Open "People" and press "Menu" > "Manage Contacts"
    2. Tap "Import / Export contacts"
    3. Select to "import from phone storage"
    4. Select an account if necessary, then choose the desired backup file and tap "OK"
    5. If the backup file and / or phone is protected by a password, enter it and tap "OK"

    Back Up Messages:

    1. Open "Messages"
    2. Press "Menu" and tap "Backup / Restore SMS"
    3. Tap "Back up" > "Back up SMS"
    4. Optionally set a password for the backup file
    5. Type in the backup file's name and tap "OK"

    Back Up Text Messages via Email:

    1. Launch "Messages" and press "Menu"
    2. Tap "Back up / Restore SMS"
    3. Tap "Back up" > "Back up SMS via email"
    4. Optionally, set a password for the file
    5. Enter the email address you want to use for the backup and send the email containing the attached backup file

    NOTE: To restore messages, download the file from the email on your phone, and import it via "Messages"

    Back Up / Restore Tasks:

    1. Open "Tasks"
    2. From the list of tasks, press "Menu"
    3. Tap "Import / Export"
    4. Tap "Export to SD card"
    5. To restore tasks, launch "Tasks"
    6. Press "Menu" > "Import / Export" > "Import from SD card"

    Back Up the Dictionary:

    1. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
    2. Tap "Language & Keyboard"
    3. Tap "HTC Sense Input" > "Personal dictionary"
    4. Press "Menu" and tap "Back up to storage"
    5. Tap "Back up to email" > "OK"

    Restore a Dictionary:

    1. Access "Settings" and tap "Languages & Keyboard"
    2. Tap "HTC Sense Input" > "Personal dictionary"
    3. Press "Menu" > "Restore from storage" > "OK"
