Please update information on how to block texts on S5 . There is no blocking mode icon and adding to auto reject doesn’t work. Please give correct info.

The most effective method is to use the Sprint website. Log in and select PREFERENCES. In the left hand box, choose "block voice" or "block text" (or do voice first and then come back and repeat for text blocking). Select your phone/account. Scroll down to a box which allows you to enter a number to block. Be sure to click SAVE when finished.

I make a record of telemarketer's numbers throughout the day and go to the website whenever it is convenient. In the meantime, you can select a number from the log. Click the three-dot icon in the upper right corner of the screen and choose "Add to Reject List". It will stop the caller. Then follow-up with the website blocker when you have an opportunity.

I have searched for this answer in a number of places. I can see how to block but you cannot add a specific number to block. You can only add them in reject mode. All that does is cause the phone to not ring. They can still leave voice mail or send messages. Is there a way to totally block an exact number?

If you receive a text from someone that you don't want to receive texts from any longer, you need to have an actual text box open with their name and in the upper right hand corner the dots give a drop down that says "Add to spam numbers" and that will prevent them from being able to text you anymore.

Hello I would like to know if blocking a number (sms and call) there is a notification that the person has called or send a message ... thank you ;-)
No, if it is done through the phone, then it will just ring and maybe go to voicemail.

Try using blocking mode (link above) and just allow all but the number you want to block.

FYI, an alternative to this is using blocking mode: http://cellphoneforums.net/samsung-g...king-mode.html

Blocking Calls Using Third Party Applications:

While the Galaxy S5 offers blocking options by default, you can try out various third party apps that offer numerous blocking options, including the ability to password protect your app, call logs, notifications, the ability to block messages, blacklists, white lists and more. You can try apps such as "Call Blacklist", "Call Control", "Call Blocker" or similar.
