Hi! For prisoners, maintaining connections with family and friends can have a significant impact on their well-being and rehabilitation. Securus Technologies offers a variety of communications services tailored to correctional facilities, including telephone calls, video visits and messaging. Using their services is simple and usually does not cause difficulties, but if someone needs additional advice, a securus technologies customer service employee will provide it and help them figure it out.

Contact Management

Add a New Contact:

1. On the Start screen, tap the “People” tile
2. Swipe to contacts and tap “+”
3. Assuming you are signed in to multiple accounts, select the one you wish to save the contact to
4. Enter the contact’s name and phone number, and add any additional info you may see fit
5. When ready, tap “Save” and the contact will be automatically backed up to your Microsoft account

Import / Export Contacts (SD Card):

1. Swipe left on the Start screen
2. From the “Apps” screen, tap “Transfer my Data”
3. Tap the menu button “…”
4. Select to “Import from sd card” or “Export to sd card” and follow any self-explanatory steps that may follow

Import Contacts from a SIM Card:

1. Tap “People” on the Start screen
2. Tap “…” > “Settings”
3. Tap “import from SIM”
4. Tap “import” to import all of the contacts
5. Alternatively, tap “clear” and check the boxes associated with the contacts you want to import individually

Add a Contact to Speed Dial:

1. Tap the “People” tile
2. Select the contact you want to add to speed dial
3. Tap and hold the contact’s phone number
4. Tap “add to speed dial”

Delete Contacts:

1. Open “People”
2. Select the contact you want to remove
3. Tap “…” and select “delete”

Caller Group Management

Create a New Caller Group:

1. Launch “People” from the Start screen
2. Swipe left or right to access the “Rooms” and “Groups” page
3. Tap “+” to start creating a new group
4. Tap “Group” and enter the desired name for the group
5. Tap the “save” icon at the bottom when ready

Add Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

1. Open “People”
2. Swipe to the “Rooms” and “Groups” page
3. Tap and hold the group you want to add contacts to
4. Tap “members” > “+”
5. Tap the contact you want to add to the group
6. Tap the “Check mark” icon
7. Repeat these last steps if you want to add more contacts to the group

Call Log Management

View and Reset the Call Log:

1. Tap the “Phone” tile on the Start screen
2. Swipe left or right to reach the “history” screen
3. To reset the call log, first tap the “More” icon in the lower-right corner of the screen
4. Tap “select calls” and mark the entries you want to remove
5. Tap “Delete” twice to confirm
