    Clearing App Cache / Data:

NOTE: If one of your third party apps doesn’t work as it should, you can try fixing this behavior by clearing the application’s cache or data.

WARNING! Clearing an app’s data will delete all of your personal information stored within the app, including login information, settings, saved games, credit card information, profiles etc. To avoid losing this data, try fixing the problem by clearing the app’s cache.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Applications”
    4. Tap “Application manager”
    5. Swipe to “Downloaded” or “All”
    6. Select the desired app and tap “Clear cache”
    7. If necessary, tap “Clear data” > “OK”

Reboot in Safe Mode to Remove an App:

NOTE: If one of your third party apps causes issues and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to remove it from Safe Mode. In this mode all third party apps are disabled and whatever process was preventing the uninstall should no longer be an issue

    1. Turn off the smartphone
    2. Press and hold “Power”
    3. When the “Samsung” splash screen appears, release “Power” and immediately press and hold “Volume down” instead
    4. Keep the volume key pressed until the phone finishes rebooting. A “Safe Mode” label should be displayed in the lower-left area of the screen
    5. To remove an app in Safe Mode, tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
    6. Swipe to “Device” and tap “Applications”
    7. Tap “Application manager” and swipe to the “Downloaded” screen
    8. Select the desired app and tap “Uninstall” two times to confirm
    9. To exit safe mode, press and hold “Power” and tap “Restart”

    Wipe the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: Clearing the phone’s cache partition can have similar positive effects as a master reset, without losing any personal data stored on the internal memory. You can clear the phone’s cache if the device freezes, crashes, performs poorly, has too little free space etc.

    1. Turn off the smartphone
    2. Press and hold “Volume Up”, “Home” and “Power” at the same time
    3. When the phone powers up and displays “Power”, release all hardware buttons
    4. You should see an Android icon, and the Android System Recovery screen roughly 30 seconds later
    5. From the recovery menu, press “Volume down” to highlight “Wipe cache partition”
    6. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
    7. Once the cache partition is wiped, “Reboot system now” should be highlighted
    8. Press “Power” to select the option and wait for your phone to reboot

NOTE: If wiping the cache partition did not help then you might want to visit this thread to learn how you can factory reset the Samsung Galaxy A8.
