    3. Tap “Battery” under “Device”
    4. Enable “Standby intelligent power saving” by tapping the switch to “ON”

Adjust the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Display” > “Brightness”
    4. Drag the slider to the left to decrease brightness
    5. From the “Display” menu, tap “Sleep”
    6. Select a lower timeout value for the screen

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Data usage”
    3. Press “Menu”
    4. Enable “Restrict background data”

    Reduce Sync:

NOTE: By syncing less data / less often you can improve your phone’s battery performance on the long run.

    1. Tap “Apps”
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Select an account
    4. Clear or enable the check boxes to customize (reduce) sync

    Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth:

NOTE: You can improve your phone’s battery life if you disable connectivity when not in use. This includes Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS and Bluetooth

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Tap “Settings”
    3. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “Wi-Fi” switches to disable these features
    4. Go to “Settings” and tap “Location”
    5. Tap the “Location” slider and set it to “OFF” to disable GPS

Minimize the Use of Third Party Applications:

NOTE: Certain third party applications can affect your phone’s battery performance even if you don’t use them (assuming they run regular processes in the background). As such it’s recommended to disable or remove rarely or never-used third party apps from your phone.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings” and tap “Apps”
    3. Select the app you want to disable or remove
    4. Tap “Disable” to turn off the app
    5. Tap “Uninstall” to completely remove it

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “More” > “Mobile networks”
    3. Tap “Network operators”
    4. Tap “Select manually” > “OK”
    5. Choose the 2G option

    Keep Your Phone Updated:

NOTE: Because certain software updates can include improvements to battery life, you should always keep your phone up to date. You can check if newer updates are available by doing the following:

    1. Tap “Apps”
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “About phone” > “System updates”
    4. Tap “Check now”
    5. Assuming an update is available, follow the on-screen prompts to download and install it on your device
