    Back Up Apps:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Under “Personal”, tap “Backup & reset”
    4. To back up Wi-Fi passwords, settings, and account data on Google’s servers, enable “Back up my data”
    5. To automatically restore data upon reinstalling backed up apps, enable “Automatic restore”

NOTE: App data should be automatically restored as soon as you sign in with your Google backup account for the first time (say, after a fresh master reset)

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Accounts”
    3. Select the account you want to use for backing up (syncing) your contacts
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method will be automatically restored the first time you sign in with your backup Google account (like after a fresh master reset)

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the OnePlus 2 to your computer via USB
    2. Drag the “Status” bar down
    3. If necessary, enable “Media sync (MTP)”
    4. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, select to browse the phone’s files
    5. Locate the desired media files and copy them
    6. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on your computer
    7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the USB connector

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the OnePlus 2 and computer
    2. Ensure “Media Sync (MTP)” is enabled
    3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, choose to browse the phone’s files
    4. Open a second Explorer window on the computer and locate the media file backup
    5. Copy the desired media files and transfer them back on the phone
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the computer
