Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the ZTE Obsidian to your PC via USB
    2. On the home screen, slide the “Notification” bar down
    3. Make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
    4. From the AutoPlay window that should appear on the computer, double-click “Open folder to view files using Windows Explorer”
    5. Access the “Media” folder on the phone
    6. Open a second Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on your computer
    7. Copy the files, and transfer them in the “Media” directory, specifically in the “Ringtones”, “Alarms”, and / or “Audio/Notifications” folders. (NOTE: If the folders don’t exist, you can create them manually)
    8. After the transfer is done, click the “Safely Remove Hardware” icon in the system tray and click “Safely Remove Mass Storage Device” > “OK”
    9. You can now disconnect the phone from the computer

    Change the Phone Ringtone:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Go to “Sound & notification”
    4. Tap the “gear” icon associated with the currently active sound profile
    5. Tap “Phone ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
    6. Tap “OK” to confirm, and optionally you can disable or enable” Vibrate”

Set a Custom Ringtone for a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Select the contact you want to edit
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Change the Notifications Sound:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Sound & notification”
    3. Tap the “gear” icon associated with the currently active sound profile
    4. Tap “Default Notification Sound” and select the desired sound
    5. Tap “OK” to confirm
