    Back Up Applications:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. To back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to Google’s servers, enable “Back up my data”
    5. To restore app data upon re-installing apps, enable “Automatic restore”

    NOTE: Applications will be automatically restored upon the next time you log in with your Google account on the phone.

    Back Up contacts:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Accounts”
    4. Select the account to sync contacts to
    5. Tap “Menu” > Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up this way will be automatically restored the next time you log into your Google account on the device.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the ZTE Obsidian to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    3. On the computer, double-click “Open device to view files and folders” from the AutoPlay window, or otherwise navigate to the phone’s storage
    4. Locate the desired media files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect it from the USB connector

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between your PC and ZTE Obsidian
    2. Drag the “Status" bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
    3. On the computer, in the AutoPlay window, choose to browse the phone’s files and folders
    4. Locate the “Media” directory
    5. Open a second Explorer window and locate the backed up files on your PC’s HDD
    6. Copy the files and transfer them back to your phone, preferably in the “Media” directory etc.
    7. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the phone from the PC
