    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Under “Device”, tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Battery saver” and turn the feature “ON”
    5. Optionally, set the desired battery percentage at which Battery Saving Mode enables automatically

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Swipe to “Device”
    3. Tap “Display” > “Brightness”
    4. Drag the brightness slider to the left
    5. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

    Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:

    NOTE: You can prolong your phone’s battery life by disabling connectivity features whenever they are not in use, including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Hotspot and GPS.

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Wireless Networks”
    3. Tap “Tethering & networks”
    4. Tap “Mobile Hotspot” and disable the feature by tapping the switch associated with it
    5. Tap “Back” to return to “Settings”
    6. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches to disable these features
    7. In the “General” tab, under “Personal”, tap “Location"
    8. Tap “Mode” > “Battery saving (Networks only)”

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Tethering & Networks” under “Wireless Networks”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks”
    4. Check the box next to “Use only 2G networks”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Mobile data”
    4. Press “Menu” and enable “Restrict background data”
    5. Tap “OK”

    Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Some of your third party apps might affect your phone’s battery life even if you don’t use them – assuming they run regular processes in the background. As such you should disable or remove any third party app you don’t use.

    1. Tap “Apps”
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Under “Device”, tap “Apps”
    4. Access the “Downloaded” tab
    5. Tap and hold an app you want to disable / remove
    6. Tap “Force stop”, or tap “Uninstall” to completely remove it

    Check for OS Updates:

    NOTE: Software updates can sometimes include improvements to battery life. As such you should keep your phone up to date. To check for updates:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Swipe to “Device”
    3. Tap “About phone”
    4. Tap “Update Center” > “System updates”
    5. Tap “Check for Update”
    6. Follow any additional prompts that may follow
