WARNING! Master resetting the LG Bello II will result in the deletion of all personal data stored on the phone’s internal memory. This includes contacts, apps, ringtones, downloaded content etc. However data stored on the SIM and SD cards will not be affected.

NOTE: To learn how to back up and restore data on the LG Bello II before proceeding with the master reset, visit this thread and this thread respectively.

    Master Reset via Settings:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
    4. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    5. Select or clear the check boxes associated with “Back up my data” and “Automatic restore"
    6. Tap “Backup account” and if necessary, create an account, sign in with one, or select an existing one
    7. Tap “Factory data reset” and review the warning message
    8. Optionally, select “Erase SD Card” (WARNING! This will delete all data stored on the external storage)
    9. Tap “Reset phone” > “Erase everything”
    10. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Master Reset via Recovery:

NOTE: In case you are unable to master reset the phone via Settings (method above), you can also try resetting it via recovery, after performing a sequence of button presses as follows:

    1. Turn off the smartphone
    2. Press and hold “Power” and “Volume down” at the same time
    3. Once the “LG” logo appears, quickly release and re-hold the “Power” key (Keep “Volume down” pressed)
    4. At the “Factory data reset” pop-up, use “Volume down” to navigate to and highlight “Yes”
    5. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
    6. “Erase all user data and restore default settings” will show up on the screen
    7. Use the volume key again to highlight “Yes”, and press “Power”

    Check for OS Updates:

NOTE: After a fresh master reset you should check and see if newer software updates are available for your device. To do so:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. If necessary, press “Menu” > “List view”
    4. Swipe to “System” and tap “About phone”
    5. Review your software version and check if a newer one is available. If so, follow the on-screen steps to apply it
