    Clear App Cache:

NOTE: In case one of your applications doesn’t work as intended, it crashes, freezes, or simply takes too much storage space, you might be able to fix these problems by clearing the app’s cache or data.

WARNING! Clearing an app’s data will remove personal information stored within the app, including credit card information, login details, save files, high scores, settings etc. As such, you should try clearing the app’s cache first in order to avoid losing personal data.

    1. Press “Menu” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings
    3. Tap “More” > “Application manager
    4. If necessary, swipe to the “Downloaded” or “All” screen
    5. Select the desired app
    6. Tap “Clear cache
    7. If necessary, tap “Clear data” > “OK

    Wipe the Phone’s Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your smartphone crashes, freezes, or otherwise doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering master resetting it, then you might want to try clearing the cache partition first. Unlike a master reset which results in the deletion of all personal data stored on the internal memory, clearing the cache partition can solve a lot of issues without deleting personal information. To clear the cache partition:

    1. Turn off the smartphone
    2. Press and hold “Power”, “Home” and “Volume Up” simultaneously
    3. When the phone vibrates release “Power” but keep holding the other two buttons
    4. At the “Android System Recovery” screen, release all hardware keys
    5. Press “Volume down” repeatedly in the recovery menu to navigate to and highlight “wipe cache partition”
    6. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
    7. Once the partition has been wiped, “Reboot system now” should be highlighted
    8. Press “Power” again to select the highlighted option. Your phone will reboot and the cache partition should be cleared

NOTE: If clearing the cache didn’t solve the problems, you may want to visit this thread and learn how you can master reset the S4 mini Plus.

Reboot in Safe Mode to Uninstall Apps:

NOTE: In case one of your third party apps causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to easily dispose of it by first rebooting your phone in safe mode. In safe mode all third party apps are disabled.

    1. Turn off the phone
    2. Press and hold “Power
    3. At the “Samsung” splash screen, release “Power” and immediately press and hold “Volume down” instead
    4. When the phone finishes rebooting, release all keys. A “Safe Mode” label should be present in the lower-left corner of the screen
    5. On the home screen, tap “Apps
    6. Go to “Settings” and swipe to “Applications
    7. Tap “Application manager” and swipe to “Downloaded
    8. Tap the app you want to remove
    9. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK
