    Back Up Applications:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings” and swipe to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, settings, and account data on your Google account
    5. To restore data automatically upon reinstalling apps, enable “Automatic restore”

NOTE: Application data / apps will be restored automatically once you sigh in with your Google account for the first time (like for example, after a factory reset).

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Tap “Accounts” and select an account type to sync contacts with
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

NOTE: Contacts will be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google account, like after a fresh master reset. Otherwise you can restore the contacts by signing in with the Google backup account and allowing it to sync contacts with your phone.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the OneTouch Pixi 3 and computer
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
    3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, select to browse the phone files and folders
    4. Locate the media files on your phone, and copy them
    5. Paste the files in the desired backup location on your computer
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

Restore Media Files from a Windows Machine:

    1. Connect the Pixi 3 to your PC via USB
    2. Make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled on the phone
    3. From the AutoPlay window on the PC, choose to browse the phone’s directories
    4. Launch a second Explorer window and locate the media files backed up on your computer
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on your phone, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect it from the computer
