    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Swipe to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. To back up account data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your Google account, enable “Back up my data”
    5. To automatically restore app data upon reinstalling the apps, enable “Automatic restore”

    NOTE: App data will be restored automatically once you sign in with your Google account on the phone.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now” to sync your contacts with your account

    NOTE: Contacts will be restored automatically upon logging in with your account.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Asus ZenFone 2E to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down
    3. Enable “Media device (MTP)” if necessary
    4. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click to browse the phone’s files and folders
    5. Locate the desired media files on your phone, and copy them
    6. Navigate to the desired backup location on the computer, and paste the files
    7. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage by clicking the icon in the system tray
    8. Safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the ZenFone 2E to your PC via USB
    2. Ensure that the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
    3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, select to browse the phone’s files & folders
    4. Open a second Explorer window and locate the media files backed up on your computer
    5. Copy the files and transfer them back on your phone, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector
