    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “User and Backup”
    4. Tap “Backup and reset”
    5. If necessary, tap “Backup account” > “Add account” and sign in with your Google account
    6. If necessary, enable “Backup account” and “Backup my data”

    Back Up Contacts on a Google or Samsung Account:

    1. Open the “Contacts” app
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Move device contacts to”
    3. Select your Google or Samsung account
    4. Tap “OK” to sync the contacts with the selected account

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy J7 and computer
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
    3. From the AutoPlay window on the computer, click “Open device to view files”
    4. Locate the desired media files on the phone, and copy them
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” to download Kies, and install the app on the Mac
    4. Establish a USB connection between the Mac and Galaxy J7 (ensure “Media Device (MTP)” is enabled on the phone)
    5. Launch Kies on the Mac
    6. Inside Kies, click the “Back up / restore” > “Backup” tab
    7. Check the boxes associated with “Photos”, “Music”, and other media file types you want to back up
    8. Click “Backup” to complete the process. Once done, drag the phone’s virtual drive to the “trash can” and safely disconnect the device from the USB
