Back Up App Data:

1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
2. Go to “Settings”
3. If necessary, tap “Menu” and switch to “List view”
4. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
5. Check the “Back up my data” tick box to enable the feature

Back Up Contacts:

1. Go to the “Settings” menu
2. If necessary, tap “Menu” > “List view”
3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
4. Tap “LG Backup service”
5. Tap “Backup and restore”
6. Tap “Backup” and select to create the backup on the “Internal storage”, “SD card” or “Cloud”
7. Tap “Next” and select “Personal data” while deselecting the other options
8. Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is selected
9. Tap “Next” > “Start” to begin the process
10. At the “Back up completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

Back Up Data to the SD Card:

1. Access “Settings”
2. Tap “Menu” and switch to “List view” if necessary
3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
4. Tap “LG Backup service” > “Backup”
5. Tap “SD card” > “next”
6. Select the items you want to back up and tap “Next”
7. Tap “Start” to begin the backup process
8. At the “Backup completed” message, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files

Using Your Phone:

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Access “Settings”
3. If necessary switch to “List view” by tapping “Menu”
4. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
5. Tap “LG Backup service” > “Backup”
6. Select to back up data on the “Internal storage”, “SD card” or “Cloud”
7. Tap “Next” and select the “Media data” folder while deselecting the other options
8. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the media files you want to back up
9. Tap “Next” > “Start”
10. At the “Back up completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

1. Connect the LG Spirit to your computer via USB
2. If necessary, enable “Media sync (MTP)” at the prompt (or from the “notification” area)
3. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, double-click to browse the phone’s files / folders
4. Navigate to the desired media files on the phone and copy them
5. Navigate to your backup directory on the PC and paste the files
6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device
