    Clear App Cache / Data:

NOTE: If one of your apps doesn’t work properly (crashes, freezes, or simply take up too much storage) you can try and fix these issues by clearing the app’s cache / data.

WARNING! Clearing an app’s data will delete any personal information stored within the application. This includes saved games, profiles, login and credit card information, high scores etc. As such you should first try clearing the cache.

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Device”
    4. Tap “Apps”
    5. Swipe to “Downloaded” or “All”
    6. Select the desired app and tap “Clear cache”
    7. If clearing the cache hasn’t solved the issues, tap “Clear data” > “OK”

    Wipe Cache Partition:

NOTE: If you’re experiencing issues with your phone and you are considering factory resetting it, then you could try wiping the cache partition first. This can have similar effects as a factory reset, but doesn’t remove any of the personal data stored on the internal memory.

    1. Turn off the device
    2. Press and hold “Volume Up” and “Power” simultaneously
    3. Once the phone turns on, release “Power” but keep holding “Volume Up”
    4. Once you see the “Recovery” screen, release the “Volume Up” key too
    5. In the Recovery screen, navigate to “Wipe cache partition” using the volume buttons
    6. Press “Power” to select the highlighted option
    7. Highlight “Yes – erase all user data”
    8. Press “Power” again to confirm and wipe the cache

NOTE: If wiping the cache partition didn’t help you can visit this thread for a full guide on how you can factory reset the Coolpad Rogue.

Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: In case you have installed a third party app that causes issues and prevents you from uninstalling it, you should be able to remove it from within Safe Mode. In this mode, third party app support is disabled. To reboot in Safe Mode:

    1. Turn the screen on
    2. Press and hold “Power”
    3. In the dialog box, tap and hold the “Power off” option
    4. At the safe mode pop-up, tap “OK” to confirm and wait for your phone to reboot (NOTE: a “safe mode” label should be present in the lower-left corner of the screen)
    5. To remove an app, first go to “Settings”
    6. Tap “Apps”
    7. Swipe to the “Downloaded” list
    8. Tap the desired app
    9. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
    10. To exit safe mode, press and hold “Power”, then tap “Power off”
