    Clear App Cache / Data:

NOTE: In case one of your apps doesn’t work as intended, you might be able to fix this behavior by clearing the app’s cache and / or data.

WARNING! Clearing an app’s data will delete all of your personal information stored within the app, such as login and credit card details, profiles, saves, high scores etc. As such you should try clearing the cache first, before proceeding with clearing the data.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “General” tab
    4. Scroll to “Phone Management” and tap “Apps”
    5. Access the “All” tab
    6. Select the desired application
    7. Tap “Clear cache”. If necessary, tap “Clear data” > “Yes”

Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an App:

NOTE: In case you have installed a third party app that causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to easily uninstall it by first rebooting your phone in Safe Mode. In this mode, all third party apps are disabled.

    1. Turn on the screen
    2. Press and hold “Power”
    3. From the options menu that appears, press and hold “Power off”
    4. At the “Restart in Safe mode” prompt, tap “OK”
    5. Wait for the phone to reboot, and a “Safe Mode” message should be displayed in the lower area of the home screen
    6. To remove an app in Safe Mode, first go to “Settings”
    7. Access “General”
    8. Tap “Apps” under “Phone Management”
    9. Swipe to “Downloaded” and select the desired application
    10. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Wipe the Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone doesn’t work as intended and you’re considering factory resetting it, you should first try solving the issues by wiping the cache partition. This can have similar effects as a master reset, without losing any of your personal data stored on the internal memory.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Storage” under “Phone management”
    4. Wait for the phone to finish calculating “Cached data”
    5. Tap “Cached data” > “Yes” to clear the cache

NOTE: If wiping the cache didn't help, you can visit this thread to learn how you can master reset the LG V10.
