    Turn On Power Saving Mode:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Under “System” tap “Battery”
    4. Tap “Power saving mode” and set the slider to “ON”
    5. Select the battery percentage at which power saving enables automatically

    Turn On Ultra Power Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “System” and tap “Battery”
    3. Enable “Ultra power saving mode”
    4. Tap “Agree”
    5. To add more apps in Ultra Power Saving Mode, tap “+”

    Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS:

    NOTE: You can improve battery life in the long run by disabling connectivity features when they are not in use.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Connections” and tap “Tethering & Mobile hotspot”
    3. Disable the Hotspot switch
    4. From the home screen, swipe the “status” bar down
    5. Tap the tiles next to “Wi-Fi”, “Location” (GPS) and “Bluetooth” to disable these features

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Connections”
    2. Tap “More connection settings” > “Mobile networks”
    3. Tap “Network mode”
    4. Choose “GSM only” to use 2G only

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    3. Tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value, like “15 seconds”
    4. If necessary, disable “Automatic brightness”
    5. Drag the slider to the left to decrease the level of brightness

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Connections” and tap “Data usage”
    3. Tap “More” > “Restrict background data”
    4. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: You can improve battery life in the long run by reducing the amount of data being synced by your accounts / apps.

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts”
    3. Select the desired account
    4. Clear the check boxes next to the sync options you want to turn off
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Certain third party applications can affect your phone’s battery performance even when you don’t use them, assuming that the apps run regular background processes. As such you could improve battery life by disabling or removing unused third party apps.

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Applications”
    3. Tap “Application manager”
    4. Swipe to “Downloaded” and select the desired app
    5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”
    6. To disable the application, tap “Disable” / “Force stop”

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements, thus you should keep your phone’s OS up to date at all times. To check for updates:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Swipe to “System” and tap “About device”
    3. Tap “System updates”
    4. Follow the on-screen prompts if an update is available, to download and apply it
