    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Battery” under “Device”
    4. Tap “menu” > “Battery saver” and enable the feature

    Change GPS Settings to Battery Saving:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Location” under “Personal”
    4. Tap “Mode” and select “Battery saving”

    Disable Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS:

    NOTE: You can improve battery life in the long run by disabling your phone’s connectivity features when not in use, including Wi-Fi, GPS, and Bluetooth.

    1. From the home screen, drag the notification bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” tiles
    3. Make sure the aforementioned times are removed of color. This signifies the features are disabled

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Wireless & networks”
    3. Tap “More” > “Cellular networks”
    4. Tap “Preferred network type”
    5. Select “2G” or “3G”
    6. To re-enable 4G, select “LTE”

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to the “Settings” menu
    2. Under “Device”, tap “Display”
    3. If necessary, disable “Adaptive brightness”
    4. Tap “Brightness level” and drag the brightness slider towards the left
    5. Return to “Display” and tap “Sleep”
    6. Select a lower timeout value, such as “15 seconds”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By setting your phone / accounts / apps to sync less data, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Select an account
    5. Tap “Sync” and disable the desired sync options

    Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Certain third party apps can affect your phone’s battery performance even when you don’t use them – assuming that they run background tasks / processes regularly. As such, you could improve battery life in the long run by disabling or removing unused third party apps.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Tap “Apps” under “Device”
    4. Go to “Downloaded”
    5. Select the desired app and tap “Disable”
    6. Optionally” tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to remove the app completely

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements, so it’s recommended to keep your phone’s OS up to date. To check for updates:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to and tap “About phone”
    4. Tap “System updates”
    5. In case an update is available, follow the on-screen steps to download and apply it
