Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC One A9 to your PC via USB
    2. Swipe the “notification” bar down and make sure the phone’s connection is set to “Media device (MTP)”
    3. On the computer, open an Explorer window and locate the desired audio files
    4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” > “Ringtones” / “Notifications” directories
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB connector

    Change the Phone’s Ringtone:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Swipe to and tap “Personalize”
    4. Tap “Ringtone”
    5. Select a ringtone and tap “Apply” to set it

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts store on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “People”
    3. Select the desired contact and tap “Ringtone”
    4. Choose the desired ringtone and tap “Apply” to confirm

    Change the Phone’s Notification Sound:

    1. Open “Settings”
    2. Tap “Sound & notifications”
    3. Tap “Notification sound”
    4. Swipe to, and choose the audio file you want to use as a notification sound
    5. Tap “Apply”
