    NOTE: You can visit this thread for instructions on how you can back up data on the HTC One A9.

    Restore Applications:

    1. Ensure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
    2. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    3. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup and reset” > “Restore from HTC backup”
    5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process

    Restore Contacts:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Accounts & Sync”
    3. If necessary, sign in with the Google account you used for the backup
    4. Tap “Menu”
    5. Tap “Sync all”

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the One A9 to your computer via USB
    2. Open an Explorer window on the computer
    3. Locate the media files backed up on the PC, and copy them
    4. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB

    Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the HTC One A9 and Mac
    2. Open a file explorer window on the Mac
    3. Navigate to, and locate the media files backed up on the Mac
    4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone, preferably in the “Media” folder
    5. After the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop, and drop it inside the “Trash can / Eject” icon
    6. Once the storage is ejected, safely disconnect the phone from the USB
