Transfer Audio Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Galaxy On5 to your PC via USB
    2. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down from the top, and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    3. Launch an Explorer window on the computer
    4. Navigate to the desired audio files on the PC, and copy them
    5. Transfer the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory > “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and disconnect the device from the USB connector

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Launch the Internet browser on your Mac computer
    2. Visit Kies Support
    3. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” to download and install Kies on the computer
    4. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy On5 and computer
    5. On the smartphone, drag the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    6. Open Kies on the Mac, and click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
    7. Open a file explorer and locate the audio files on your computer
    8. Drag the desired files, and drop them into Kies to begin the transfer
    9. Once the transfer is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop into the “trash can / eject” icon
    10. Disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Adding Audio Files to the List of Ringtones:

    1. Open the apps drawer and go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Sounds and notifications” under “Device”
    3. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    4. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone” and choose to complete the action with “Sound picker”
    5. Choose “Always” or “Just once”
    6. Select the audio files you want to use as ringtones and tap “Done”

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Sounds and notifications” under “Device”
    3. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    4. Tap “Ringtone” and choose the one you want to use
    5. Tap “Back” and changes will be saved automatically

    Change a Contact’s Ringtone:

    1. Open “Contacts” and select the desired contact
    2. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone”
    3. Select the desired ringtone
    4. Tap “OK” > “Save”

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Sounds and notifications” under “Device”
    3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” under “Sound”
    4. Select the desired notification sound and tap “Back” to save the changes
