Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Galaxy J3 and computer
    2. Drag the “status” bar down on the home screen
    3. Make sure the phone is connected as a “Media device (MTP)”
    4. Open an Explorer window on the PC and locate the desired audio files
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on your phone, preferably in the “Ringtones” / “Notifications” folders in the “Media” directory
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the USB connector

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac:

NOTE: If Samsung Kies is already installed on your Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Open the Internet explorer on the Mac
    2. Visit Kies Support and click “Kies 3 for Mac”
    3. Open the downloaded file and install Kies on the Mac
    4. Connect the Galaxy J3 to your Mac via USB (make sure “Media Device (MTP)” is enabled in the notification area)
    5. Launch Kies on the Mac
    6. Inside Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “Internal memory” or “External memory”
    7. Launch the file explorer on the Mac and locate the desired audio files
    8. Drag and drop the files inside Kies to start the transfer
    9. After the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop into the “Trash can” to eject

Add Audio Files to the Ringtones List:

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
    3. Tap “Ringtones and sounds” under “Sound”
    4. Tap “Ringtone” > “Add ringtone”
    5. Choose to complete the action with “Sound picker” and select “Always” or “Just once”
    6. Select the audio files to use as ringtones and tap “Done”

    Change the Phone Ringtone:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Sounds and notifications”
    3. Scroll to “Sound” and tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    4. Tap “Ringtone”
    5. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Back” to save changes automatically

Change the Ringtone of a Single Contact:

    1. Launch “Contacts”
    2. Select the desired contact and tap “Edit”
    3. Tap “Ringtone” and select a ringtone
    4. Tap “OK” > “Save”

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
    3. Under “Sound”, tap “Ringtones and sounds”
    4. Select the desired notification sound
    5. Tap “Back” to save
