Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

1. Connect the HTC Desire 828 to your computer via USB
2. Drag the “Status” bar down on the home screen, and make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is turned on
3. Open an Explorer window on the computer
4. Locate the audio files on your PC
5. Copy the desired files and transfer them on your smartphone, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders
6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the computer

Change the General Ringtone:

1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
2. Go to “Settings”
3. Tap “Personalize” > “Ringtone”
4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “Apply”

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be set for contacts stored on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Launch “People”
3. Select the contact you want to edit
4. Tap “Ringtone” and select a ringtone
5. Tap “Apply”

Change the Notification Sound:

1. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
2. Tap “Sound & notifications”
3. Tap “Notification sound”
4. Select the desired notification sound and tap “Apply”
