    Back Up Your Phone to Google Drive:

    1. Swipe the “Status” bar down on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings” and tap “Backup & reset
    3. Tap “Backup account
    4. Tap “HTC Account” and sign in with your HTC account, or use a Google or Facebook account
    5. From the “Cloud Storage” menu, tap “Google Drive” > “OK
    6. Register your Google account to access Drive
    7. Optionally, turn on “Automatic update
    8. To back up data manually, tap “Back up now

    NOTE: To set your device to create daily Wi-Fi backups, open “Settings” and tpa “Back up phone daily over Wi-Fi

    Restore Data from Google Drive:

    1. After you reboot your phone for the first time or after a factory reset, tap “Restore from HTC Backup
    2. Sign in with the account you used for the backup
    3. Access the history menu and select the backup
    4. Tap “next
    5. When / if prompted, register your Google account
    6. Allow HTC Backup to connect with “Google Drive
    7. Tap “Next” to restore the files

    Back Up & Restore Data Locally

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Tap “Phone” on the home screen
    2. Tap the “People” tab
    3. Press “Menu” > “Manage contacts
    4. Tap “Import / Export contacts
    5. Tap “Export to SD card
    6. Select to “Export to SD card” or “Export to phone storage
    7. Choose an account to use for the backup
    8. If necessary, set a password and tap “Yes
    9. Tap “OK” to confirm

    Restore Contacts:

    1. Open “People
    2. Press “Menu” > “Manage Contacts
    3. Tap “Import / Export contacts
    4. Select to “Import contacts from phone storage” or SD if available
    5. If necessary, choose an account
    6. Select the desired backup file and tap “OK
    7. In case the backup file is password-protected, enter the password and tap “OK

    Back Up Messages:

    1. Open “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Backup / Restore SMS
    3. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS
    4. Optionally, set a password for the backup
    5. Enter the desired name for the file and tap “OK

    Back Up SMS via Email:

    1. Launch “Messages
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Back up / Restore SMS
    3. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS via email
    4. Optionally you can set a password for the backup file
    5. Ensure that the email contains the backup file
    6. Send the email to your address

    NOTE: To restore messages via email, open the email, download the attached file, and import it via “Messages

    Back Up / Restore Tasks:

    1. Launch “Tasks
    2. Press “Menu” and tap “Import / Export
    3. Tap “Export to SD Card

    1. To restore tasks, open “Tasks
    2. Press “Menu” > “Import / Export
    3. Tap “Import from SD Card
    4. Select the backup file and if necessary, follow the on-screen prompts

    Back Up a Dictionary:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Language & Keyboard
    3. Tap “HTC Sense Input
    4. Select “Personal dictionary
    5. Tap “Menu” > “Back up to storage” (or optionally, “Back up to email”)
    6. Tap “OK

    Restore a Dictionary:

    1. Go to “Settings
    2. Tap “Languages & Keyboard” > “HTC Sense Input
    3. Tap “Personal dictionary
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Restore from storage” > “OK
