Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Galaxy A5 to your computer via USB
    2. If necessary, drag the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    3. On the PC, launch an Explorer window and locate the desired audio files on the HDD
    4. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notifications” folders
    5. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via the system tray, and safely disconnect the phone from the USB connector

Transfer Audio Files from a Mac Computer:

NOTE: In case Samsung Kies is already installed on the Mac, skip the first 3 steps.

    1. Open the Internet browser on the Mac and visit Kies Support
    2. Click “Kies 3 for Mac” to download the Kies installer
    3. Open the downloaded “.dmg” file and install Kies on the Mac
    4. Connect the Galaxy A5 to your Mac via USB
    5. If necessary, enable “Media device (MTP)” from the notification area
    6. On the Mac, open Kies
    7. Within Kies, click the “Folder” icon associated with “internal memory” or “External memory”
    8. Open a file explorer on the Mac and navigate to the desired audio files on your drive
    9. Drag the files and drop them in Kies
    10. After the files have been transferred on the Galaxy A5, eject the phone storage by dragging its virtual drive into the “trash can” icon, and safely disconnect the device from the Mac

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the homescreen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Sound and Display” and tap “Sounds and notifications”
    4. Tap “Ringtones” and select the desired ringtone
    5. Tap “OK”

    Change the Notification Sound:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Sounds and notifications” under “Sound and display”
    3. Tap “Notifications”
    4. Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK”
