    Back Up to Google Drive:

    1. Go to the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Backup & reset” > “Backup account”
    3. Select “HTC account” and sign in with your account if necessary (alternatively you can use a Google or Facebook account)
    4. In the “Cloud Storage” menu, tap “Google Drive”
    5. Tap “OK” and register your Google account to access Drive
    6. Tap “Back up now”
    7. Optionally, enable “Automatic backup”

    NOTE: You can also allow daily auto-backups over Wi-Fi. To do this, go to “Settings” > “Back up phone daily over Wi-Fi”.

    Restore Data from Google Drive:

    1. After you turn on your phone for the first time (or after a fresh factory reset) you will be prompted to “Restore from HTC Backup”
    2. Select the option and sign in with the account used for the backup
    3. Access the history menu and select the desired backup
    4. Tap “Next”, and if necessary, sign in with your Google account
    5. Allow Drive to connect and wait for the files to restore
    6. Once done, tap “Next”

    Crete and Restore Local Backups

    Back Up Contacts on the SD Card / Storage:

    1. Tap “Phone” and go to the “Phone” tab
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Manage contacts”
    3. Tap “Import / Export contacts”
    4. Select to “Export to SD card” or “Export to phone storage”
    5. Choose an account
    6. Optionally, tap “Yes” to set a password for the backup file
    7. Tap “OK”

    Restore Contacts from SD Card / Storage:

    1. Open “People”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Manage Contacts”
    3. Tap “Import / Export contacts” and select to “Import from storage” or “Import from SD”
    4. Select an account if necessary
    5. Select the desired backup and tap “OK”
    6. If the backup file is protected by a password, enter it and tap “OK”

    Back Up Messages:

    1. Open “Messages” and tap “Menu”
    2. Tap “Backup / Restore SMS”
    3. Tap “Back up” > “Back up SMS”
    4. Optionally, set a password for the backup file
    5. Enter the file’s name and tap “OK” to confirm

    Back Up Messages via Email:

    1. Open “Messages”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Back up / Restore SMS”
    3. Tap “Back up”
    4. Select “Back up SMS via email”
    5. Choose if you want to set a password for the file
    6. Send the email with the attached file to your own address

    NOTE: To restore messages, download the vCard attached to the email and import it using “Messages”.

    Back Up / Restore Tasks:

    1. Open “Tasks”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
    3. Tap “Export to SD card”

    1. To restore tasks, open “Tasks”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export"
    3. Select “Import from SD card”

    Back Up Dictionaries:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to and tap “Language & Keyboard”
    3. Tap “HTC Sense input” and select “Personal dictionary”
    4. Tap “Menu”
    5. Select to “Back up to storage” or “Back up to email”
    6. Press “OK”
