    Enable Power Saving Mode:

    1. Open the apps drawer and access “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “System” and tap “Power”
    3. Tap “Power saving mode” to enable it
    4. You can customize how the mode works by enabling or disabling the available Power Saving options

    Enable Ultra Power Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Power” under “System”
    4. Tap to enable “Ultra Power saving mode”
    5. To further customize how the mode works, you can tap “+” to add apps, or remove apps at your leisure

    Disable Wi-Fi, GPS, Hotspot, and Bluetooth:

    NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when not in use, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the home screen and swipe the “Status” bar down
    2. Tap the tiles associated with “Wi-Fi”, “Bluetooth” and “Location” to disable these features
    3. Open the “Settings” menu
    4. Scroll to “Network Connections” and tap “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”
    5. Tap to disable “Hotspot”

    Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Display”
    3. Go to “Brightness” and if necessary, disable “Automatic brightness”
    4. Drag the slider towards the left and tap “Ok”
    5. In the “Display” menu, tap “Screen timeout”
    6. Select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

    Change Sync Settings:

    NOTE: By syncing less data / less often, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Go to “User and Backup” and tap “Accounts”
    3. Access the “Accounts” tab
    4. Select an account and adjust the available sync options
    5. For more options, tap your email address or user name at the top

    Minimize the Use of Third Party Apps:

    NOTE: Certain third party applications can affect your phone’s battery life even when not in use – assuming that the apps perform regular background processes. By disabling or removing unused third party apps you could improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Access the “Settings" menu
    2. Go to “Apps” and tap “Application manager"
    3. Access “Downloaded”
    4. Select the desired app and tap “Disable”
    5. If you wish to remove the app, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Data usage” > “Menu”
    3. Tap to enable “Restrict background data”

    Switch from 4G to 2G:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access “Settings”
    3. Tap “More networks” > “Mobile Networks”
    4. Tap “Network mode” and select “GSM only”

    Keep the OS Updated:

    NOTE: Software updates can improve battery life, thus you should keep your phone up to date at all times. To check if new updates are available:

    1. Go to “Settings”
    2. Scroll down to “System”
    3. Tap “About device” > “Software updates”
    4. If an update is available, follow the on-screen steps to download and install it
