    Clear App Cache / Data:

NOTE: In case one of your applications doesn’t work as intended or takes up more storage space than it should, you might be able to fix these problems by clearing the app’s cache / data.

WARNING! When you clear an app’s data, all of your personal information stored within the application, including login and credit card information, profiles, high scores, saved games etc. will be removed. You can avoid losing your data by clearing only the app’s cache.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “General” tab and scroll to “Phone Management”
    4. Tap “Apps” and go to “All”
    5. Select the desired application
    6. Tap “Clear cache”
    7. If necessary, tap “Clear data” > “Yes” (read Warning above)

    Clear Cache Partition:

NOTE: If your phone doesn’t work as intended / crashes / freezes etc. you might be able to fix these problems by clearing the phone’s cache partition. This can yield similar results as a factory reset without losing any of your personal data in the process.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Storage” under “Phone management”
    4. View the amount of “Cached data”
    5. Tap “Cached data” > “yes” to clear the cache partition

NOTE: If clearing the cache didn’t solve the issues, you can visit this thread for instructions on how you can factory the LG Zero instead.

Reboot in Safe Mode and Remove an Application:

NOTE: If you’ve installed a third party application on your phone that causes issues and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to uninstall the app from within safe mode. In safe mode, all third party apps are disabled. To access safe mode:

    1. Press and hold “Power” with the phone turned on
    2. At the pop-up, tap and hold the “Power off” option
    3. When prompted to “Restart in Safe mode”, tap “OK”
    4. Wait for the phone to restart. Once done, a “Safe Mode” label should be visible in the lower-left corner of the screen
    5. Tap “Apps” on the home screen and access “Settings”
    6. From the “General” tab, tap “Apps” under “Phone management”
    7. Go to “Downloaded”
    8. Select the desired application and tap “Uninstall” > “OK”
