Transfer Audio Files from a Computer:

NOTE: You can transfer audio files from a computer using several methods, depending on the type of computer / OS you use. You can visit this page for instructions on transferring audio files via the Microsoft Phone Companion app, or the classic Windows Phone app for desktop.

To transfer audio files manually without using any of the tools above:

    1. Connect the Acer Jade Primo to your computer via USB
    2. Open a File Explorer window on the PC
    3. Locate the audio files you want to transfer to your phone
    4. Copy the files and transfer them in the “Ringtones” folder in the “Phone” root directory
    5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and disconnect it from the USB cord

    Change the General Ringtone:

    1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
    2. Tap “Personalization” > “Sound
    3. Tap the “Ringtone” drop-down menu
    4. Select the desired ringtone
    5. Optionally, you can turn “Vibrate” On or Off

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

    1. Open “People
    2. Select the contact you want to edit
    3. Tap “Edit” > “Ringtone"
    4. Tap the desired ringtone
    5. Press “Save

    Change Notification Settings for Apps:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Personalization” > “Sound
    3. Swipe to, and tap “Manage app sounds” to adjust notifications for apps individually

Enable / Disable Lock Screen Notifications:

NOTE: To increase your privacy you can set your phone to hide notifications on the lock screen.

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “System” > “Notifications & Actions
    3. Tap “Show notifications on the lock screen” to enable or disable the feature
