    Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Battery” under “Device”
    4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Swipe to “Device”
    3. Tap “Display” and if necessary, disable “Adaptive brightness”
    4. Tap “Brightness level” and drag the slider towards the left to decrease luminosity
    5. Return to the “Display” menu and tap “Sleep”
    6. Select a lower timeout duration, such as “15 seconds”

Turn Off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS:

NOTE: You can prolong your phone’s battery life in the long run by disabling the connectivity features whenever they are not in use. To do this:

    1. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth”, “Location” and “Wi-Fi” tiles to disable these features
    3. To change GPS options, access the “Settings” menu
    4. Tap “Location” > “Mode” and select “Battery saving”
    5. To turn off Hotspot, first return to the main “Settings” screen
    6. Then tap “more” under “Wireless & Networks” and tap “Tethering & Mobile hotspot” to disable this feature

    Use 2G instead of 4G:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. Under “Wireless & networks”, tap “More”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G”

Minimize the Use of Third Party Applications:

NOTE: Some third party apps can affect your phone’s battery performance even when they are not in use. This is due to the fact that certain apps perform regular background processes, so by disabling or removing unused third party apps you might be able to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Apps” under “Device”
    3. Access “Downloaded” and select the desired application
    4. Tap “Disable” / “Force Stop” to turn off the app
    5. Or tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to remove the application from your phone

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: By minimizing the amount of data synced with your phone, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Access the “Settings” menu
    3. Tap “Accounts” under “Personal” and select an account type
    4. Clear the check boxes next to the available sync options you want to disable
