    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up account data, Wi-Fi passwords, and settings to your Google account
    5. To restore app data automatically upon reinstallation, enable “Automatic Restore”

    NOTE: App data will be restored automatically when you sign in with your Google backup account for the first time on the phone or after a factory reset.

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Accounts” and select an account type
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method will be restored automatically when you sign in with your Google account on your phone.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser and computer
    2. Drag the “Status” bar down and turn on “Media device (MTP)”
    3. Open a File Explorer window on the computer
    4. Navigate to, and access the phone storage
    5. Copy the media files you want to store on your PC
    6. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on your computer
    7. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Asus Zenfone 2 Laser to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Navigate to the media file backups on your PC
    5. Copy the files and transfer them back on your phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory
    6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and then safely disconnect the device from the USB
