    Back Up App Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal
    4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up Wi-Fi passwords, account data, and settings to your Google account
    5. Turn on “Automatic restore” to allow your account to restore app data automatically upon reinstallation

    NOTE: App data will also be automatically restored once you sign in with your Google account for the first time, such as after a factory reset.

    Back Up Contacts to Your Account:

    1. Open “Settings
    2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts
    3. Select the account you want to use for the contact backup
    4. Tap “Menu” > “Sync now

    NOTE: The contacts synced with your account will be restored automatically when you first sign in with your Google backup account, such as after a factory reset.

    Back Up Contacts on Storage:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Launch “Contacts
    3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export
    4. Select to “Export to storage” or “SD Card” if available
    5. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the backup

    NOTE: To restore contacts from storage / SD, follow the steps above and select “Import from”.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Alcatel Pop 3 (5) and PC
    2. Swipe the “Notification” bar down and turn on “Media sync (MTP)” if necessary
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files on your phone and copy them
    5. Paste the files in the desired backup location on your computer
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the Alcatel to your PC via USB
    2. If necessary, make sure “Media sync (MTP)” is turned on in the notification area
    3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
    4. Navigate to the media file backups and copy them
    5. Transfer the backups to your phone storage, preferably in the folders they originate from
    6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray to safely disconnect the phone from the USB
