Back Up Data:

1. Open the apps drawer
2. Launch “Settings”
3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
4. Enable “Back up my data” to back up account data, settings, and Wi-Fi passwords to your Google account
5. Turn on “Automatic Restore” to allow your Google backup account to restore data automatically the next time you sign in

Back Up Contacts on a Google Account:

1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
2. Open “Settings”
3. Tap “Google” under “Accounts”
4. Select the account you want to use for backing up your data
5. Make sure “Contacts” is selected, then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above will be restored automatically the next time you log in with your Google backup account on the phone.

Back Up Contacts to Storage:

1. Launch “Contacts”
2. Access the “All Contacts” tab
3. Tap “Menu” > “Import / Export”
4. Select to “Export to storage” and tap “OK”

NOTE: Before tapping “OK”, make sure you remember the vCard file’s name for future use.

Restore Contacts from Storage:

1. Open “Contacts”
2. Tap “All Contacts” > “Menu”
3. Tap “Import / Export” and select to “Import from storage”
4. Wait for the phone to finish searching for vCard files
5. Select the vCard you want to import, and follow the on-screen steps to complete the restore

Back Up and Restore Media Files on a Windows PC:

1. Connect the Lava Iris Atom 3 to your computer via USB
2. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down
3. Turn on “Media Sync (MTP)” / “Media Device”
4. Open the File Explorer on the computer
5. Locate the media files on your phone
6. Copy the files you want to back up, and transfer them on the PC storage
7. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

NOTE: To restore media files from your computer, follow the first 4 steps above and then transfer the backup files from the PC back to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) the files originate from
