Check the Amount of External (SD) Storage:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Tap “Storage”
    4. Scroll to “SD card” to check the storage values

    Format the SD Card:

WARNING! When you format the SD card, all data stored on it, including contacts, media files, downloaded content, apps etc. will be deleted. If necessary, back up your data before proceeding.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. Tap “Storage” > “Erase SD card”
    4. Tap “Erase SD Card” again to confirm

Set the Default Storage Location for Apps:

NOTE: Preloaded applications such as “Camera” are set to use the phone’s internal memory by default, but you can choose this option for each individual app, and use SD storage instead. To change this option in the Camera app:

    1. Launch “Camera”
    2. Tap “Settings” > “Data storage”
    3. Select “SD Card”

NOTE: Other preloaded apps have the option of changing storage location in their respective settings menus.

Delete or Open SD Card Files:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “File Command”
    3. Tap a file to open it
    4. To remove a file, tap and hold it, then select “Delete”

Transfer Files Between Internal Storage and SD:

    1. Open “File Command” on the phone
    2. Locate the files you want to transfer
    3. Tap and hold the file
    4. Choose to “Copy” or “Cut” the file
    5. Navigate to the desired location on the SD card or the internal memory
    6. Tap “Paste”

Transfer Files Between SD and a Computer:

    1. Connect the Kyocera Hydro View to your PC via USB
    2. On the home screen, drag the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)” if necessary
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Transfer the desired files from / to the SD storage
    5. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cable

Transfer Files Between SD Storage and a Mac Computer:

    1. Launch the Internet browser on the Mac
    2. Head down to https://www.android.com/filetransfer/ and download the application for Mac
    3. Once downloaded, open “androidfiletransfer.dmg”
    4. Drag “Android File Transfer” to “Applications”
    5. Next, connect the Kyocera Hydro View to your Mac via USB
    6. On the phone’s home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media Device (MTP)” if necessary
    7. On the Mac, open “Android File Transfer”
    8. Browse for the desired files
    9. Drag the files and drop them to / from the SD card / Mac
    10. After transferring the contacts, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and into the “Trash can”
    11. It’s now safe to disconnect the phone from the USB cord
