    Change Display Settings:

    1. Tap “Settings” on the Start screen
    2. Tap “System”
    3. Go to “Display” and enable or disable “Automatically adjust display brightness”
    4. Additionally, you can turn “Rotation lock” On or Off
    5. Under “Rotation lock”, you can also drag the slider to decrease or increase font size
    6. After customizing the display settings, tap “Apply” to save the changes
    7. You can adjust Glance Screen (lock screen) settings by heading down to “Settings” > “Extras” > “Glance Screen”

    Change Date & Time Settings:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Time & Language” > “Date & Time”
    3. In order to set the time and date manually, both “24-hour clock” and "set date and time automatically” need to be turned off
    4. Tap the “Date” field, edit the date and tap “Check”
    5. You can also tap the “Time” field to adjust “Minute”, “Hour”, “Meridian” etc. Then, tap “Check” to confirm

    Set an Alarm:

    1. Swipe the Start screen left to access “App list”
    2. Tap “Alarms & Clock”
    3. Tap “+" at the bottom of the screen to create a new alarm
    4. Adjust the alarm’s ringtone, time, and snooze timer
    5. Tap “Save” when ready

    NOTE: From the “Alarms & Clock” screen, you can also switch tabs to “Stopwatch”, “World Clock”, “Timer”

    Tips to Improve Battery Life

    Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

    1. On the Start screen, tap the “Settings” tile
    2. Access “System” and tap “Battery saver”
    3. Tap the “Battery saver” switch and set it to “On”
    4. For additional options, tap “battery saver settings”

    Decrease Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Personalization” > “Lock screen”
    3. Tap “Screen time out after” field
    4. Select a lower value

    NOTE: You can also improve battery life by decreasing the screen brightness, as described above.

    Turn Off Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth:

    NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when not in use, you can improve battery life in the long run.

    1. On the Start screen, drag the “Notification” bar down
    2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” tiles to turn off the features
    3. Return to the Start screen and access “Settings”
    4. Tap “Privacy” > “Location” and disable GPS

    Turn Off App Auto-Update from Store:

    1. On the Start screen, tap “Store”
    2. Tap “Menu” > “Settings”
    3. Tap the switch to turn off “Update apps automatically when I’m not on Wi-Fi”
