    Back Up App Data:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings”
    3. If necessary, go to the “General” tab
    4. Swipe to “Phone management” and tap “Backup & reset”
    5. Make sure “Back up my data” is turned on

    Back Up Contacts to LG Cloud:

    1. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Swipe to “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Back up safely”
    5. Tap “Back up to” > “LG Cloud”
    6. When prompted, log in with your LG account
    7. Tap “Personal data” and deselect the other options
    8. Expand the “Personal data” directory and make sure “Contacts” is selected
    9. Tap “Start”
    10. When prompted with “Back up completed”, tap “Done”

    Back Up Data to the SD Card:

    1. Open the apps drawer and launch “Settings”
    2. Swipe to “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Tap “Back up safely” under “LG Backup”
    5. Tap “Back up to” and select “SD Card”
    6. Select the items you want to back up and tap “Start”
    7. When prompted with “Backup completed”, tap “Done”

    Back Up Media Files Using Your Phone:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Swipe to “Phone Management”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset”
    4. Scroll to “LG Backup” and tap “Back up safely”
    5. Select “Mobile data” and deselect the other non-media options
    6. Expand the “Media data” directory and select the media files you want to back up
    7. Tap “Start” to begin the backup
    8. At the “Back up completed” pop-up, tap “Done”

    NOTE: After you have created the “.sbf” backup file, you can connect the LG Tribute 5 to your PC via USB, enable “Media sync (MTP)” from the phone’s notification area, and transfer the file from the phone to the PC storage.

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the LG Tribute 5 to your computer via USB
    2. Swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media sync (MTP)”
    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the desired media files on your phone and copy them
    5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the computer
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
