    7. If necessary, select the desired vCard file
    8. Choose to restore contacts on “Device storage” or your “Google” account

Restore Contacts from a Google Account:

    1. If necessary, go to “Settings” and sign in with the Google account you used for the backup. If you are already signed in:
    2. Open the phone’s “Settings” menu
    3. Tap “Accounts” under “User and Backup”
    4. Select “Google”
    5. Tap your email address or user name at the top of the screen
    6. Make sure “Contacts” is enabled, then tap “Menu” > “Sync now”

    Restore Media Files

    6. Tap “More” > “Move”
    7. Select “Device storage”
    8. Navigate to the folder or tap “Create folder”
    9. Tap “Move here”

    From a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect the Galaxy A7 to your computer using the USB cable
    2. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down and enable “Media device (MTP)”
    3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media file backups on the computer
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray and disconnect the phone from the USB cord

    From a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the Galaxy A7 to your Mac via USB
    2. On the phone, make sure “Media device (MTP)” is selected in the notification area
    3. On the Mac, launch Kies
    4. Inside Kies, click the “Back up / restore” tab
    5. Go to the “Restore” tab and check the boxes associated with “Music”, “Photos”, and other types of media files you want to restore (alternatively you can click “Select all”)
    6. Click “Restore” and if necessary, follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
    7. After the restore is complete, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop into the “Trash can” to eject the storage
