    Enable Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Battery” under “Device”
    4. Tap “Menu” and turn on “Battery saver”

Adjust Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Display”
    3. If necessary, turn off “Adaptive brightness”
    4. Tap “Brightness level” and drag the slider to the left to decrease screen luminosity
    5. Return to the “Display” menu
    6. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower value, such as “15 seconds”

Disable Connectivity When Not in Use:

NOTE: By turning off Wi-Fi, Hotspot, Bluetooth, and GPS when not in use, you can improve battery life in the long run. To do this:

    1. First, while viewing the home screen swipe the “Status” bar down
    2. Tap the “Bluetooth”, “Wi-Fi”, and “Location” tiles to disable these features
    3. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    4. For additional GPS options, tap “Location” > “Mode” and select “Battery saving”
    5. To turn off Hotspot, return to the “Settings” menu
    6. Then, under “Wireless & Networks” tap “More”
    7. Tap the switch to disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

    Use 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: If you don’t have access to a battery bank / wall socket and you’re running low on battery, you can prolong battery life by using 2G connectivity instead. To switch to 2G:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Under “Wireless & Networks”, tap “more”
    3. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Preferred network type”
    4. Select “2G”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third party applications can affect your phone’s battery life even if you don’t actively use them – on account that some apps perform regular background processes. Thus, by turning off, or by uninstalling unused third party apps, you might be able to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to the “Settings” menu
    2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Apps”
    3. Access the “Downloaded” tab
    4. Select the desired application
    5. Tap “Disable” / “Force stop” to turn off the app
    6. To remove the app from the phone, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can gain battery life by changing your sync settings to sync less data. To do this:

    1. Access “Settings”
    2. Scroll to “Personal”
    3. Tap “Accounts” and select the desired account type
    4. Select your account and disable the desired sync options
