Back Up Personal Data on a Google Account:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Tap “Backup & reset” under “Personal”
    4. To back up settings, Wi-Fi passwords, and account data to your Google account, enable “Back up my data”
    5. Turn on “Automatic Restore” to restore personal data automatically upon logging in with your Google backup account

    Back Up Contacts:

    1. Tap “Apps” and go to “Settings”
    2. Tap “Accounts”
    3. Select an account type and tap “Menu”
    4. Tap “Sync now”

NOTE: The contacts you back up using the method above can be automatically restored the next time you sign in with your Google backup account. Otherwise, after signing in with the account, go to the “Accounts” menu, select the account, enable “Contacts” and tap “Sync now”.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

    4. On the computer, open the File Explorer
    5. Use the Explorer to find the media files on your phone
    6. Copy the desired media files and paste them on the PC storage
    7. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the Asus device and computer
    2. On the home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled
    3. On the computer, open the File Explorer
    4. Locate the media files backed up on the PC
    5. Copy the files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the device from the USB cord
