    Turn On Battery Saving Mode:

    1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Go to the “General” tab
    3. Swipe to “Phone management”
    4. Tap “Battery & power saving”
    5. Tap the switch to “ON” to enable battery saving
    6. Additionally, you can customize battery saving mode by checking / clearing the available check boxes, and by selecting a battery percentage to enable the mode automatically

Disable Wi-Fi, Hotspot, GPS, and Bluetooth:

NOTE: By disabling the phone’s connectivity features when they are not in use, you should be able to improve battery life in the long run.

    1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
    2. Access the “Networks” tab if necessary
    3. Scroll to “Connectivity” and tap “Tethering” > “Mobile hotspot”
    4. Tap the switch to “OFF”
    5. Return to “Settings”
    6. Tap the “Wi-Fi” and “Bluetooth” switches and set them to “OFF”
    7. For more GPS settings, tap “Location” > “Mode” > “Battery saving (Networks only)”

    Use 2G Connectivity:

NOTE: If your phone runs low on battery, you don’t have access to a wall socket or a battery bank, and you want to conserve battery life, you can temporarily switch to 2G connectivity. To do this:

    1. Access the “Settings” menu
    2. If necessary, go to the “Networks” tab
    3. Under “Connectivity”, tap “More”
    4. Tap “Mobile networks” > “Network mode”
    5. Select “GSM only”

Lower the Screen Timeout Duration and Brightness:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Go to “Settings”
    3. Access the “Display” tab
    4. Scroll to “Other screen settings” and tap “Brightness”
    5. Drag the slider to the left to decrease screen brightness
    6. To lower screen timeout duration, tap “Screen timeout” and select a lower value such as “15 seconds”

    Minimize Third Party App Usage:

NOTE: Certain third party applications can affect your phone’s battery life even when not in use. This is due to the fact that some apps perform regular background processes, so by disabling or removing unused third party apps you might be able to improve battery life.

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. If necessary, switch to the “General” tab
    3. Tap “Apps” under “Phone Management”
    4. Go to the “Downloaded” tab
    5. Tap and hold the desired app and tap “Force stop” to turn it off
    6. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall” > “OK”

    Disable Background Data:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. If necessary, access the “Networks” tab
    3. Tap “Mobile data”
    4. Tap “Menu” and disable “Restrict background data”
    5. Tap “OK”

    Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You can improve battery life in the long run by reducing the amount of data being synced by your accounts. To do this:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “Accounts & sync” under “Personal”
    3. Disable “auto-sync data”
    4. Furthermore, you can adjust additional sync settings under “Accounts”

    Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: Software updates can include battery life improvements, so it’s recommended to keep your phone up to date. To check whether new updates are available:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Go to the “General” tab if necessary
    3. Tap “About phone” > “Update center”
    4. Tap “System updates”
    5. Tap “Check for updates”, and if necessary, follow the on-screen steps to download and install available updates
