    2. Access the “Settings” menu and scroll to “User and Backup”
    3. Tap “Accounts”
    4. Select the account type used for the backup
    5. Tap your “email address” at the top of the screen and tap “Sync all”
    6. Go back to “User and Backup” and clear / check the boxes associated with “Automatic restore” and “Back up my data”

Restore Contacts from a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Register the Google / Samsung account containing the contacts backup
    2. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Use the USB cord to connect the Galaxy J2 to your computer via USB

    3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
    4. Locate the media files backed up on your PC
    5. Copy the files, and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder they originate from
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray
    7. It’s now safe to disconnect the phone from the USB cord

Restore Media Files from a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the Galaxy J2 to your Mac via USB
    2. Ensure “Media device (MTP)” is enabled in the notification area

    4. Inside Kies, click the “Back up / restore” tab

    6. Click “Restore” and if necessary, follow the on-screen steps
    7. After the transfer is done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop into the “trash can” to eject it
