    NOTE: To learn how you can back up your apps, contacts and media files on the Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime, visit this thread for a full guide

    Restoring Applications:

    1. Sign in with the Samsung or Google account you've used to back up the data
    2. Go to the phone's "Settings" menu
    3. Swipe to "User and Backup" and then tap "Accounts"
    4. Select "Google" or "Samsung" and then tap the "email address" at the top of the screen
    5. Tap "Sync all"
    6. Press "Back" to return to the "User and Backup" menu
    7. Tap "Backup and reset"
    8. Swipe to "Backup and Restore"
    9. Check / uncheck the boxes associated with "Back up my data" and "Automatic restore"

    Restoring Contacts

    From a Google or Samsung Account:

    1. Sign in to the Google or Samsung account you've used for backing up the contacts
    2. While on the home screen, tap "Apps"
    3. Go to "Settings" and swipe to "User and Backup"
    4. Tap "Accounts" and select "Google" or "Samsung"
    5. Tap the "email address" located at the top of the screen
    6. Mark the "Sync Contacts" check box and then tap "Sync now"

    Restoring Contacts from the SD Card:

    1. Make sure the SD card containing the backup file is inserted in your phone
    2. Open the "Contacts" application
    3. Go to the "Contacts" tab and then press "Menu"
    4. Tap "Settings" and go to "Contacts"
    5. Tap "Import / Export" and select "Import from SD card"
    6. If necessary, select an account and follow any additional on-screen steps to complete the process

    Restoring Media Files

    From the SD Card:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch the "My Files" application
    3. Tap "All files" > "SD Card"
    4. Press "Menu" and tap "Select"
    5. Mark the check boxes associated with the media files you want to restore
    6. Tap "Menu" > "Move" > "Device storage"
    7. Tap "Move here"
    8. To move the files in a different location, tap "Create folder" or tap the folder name

    From a Windows Computer:

    1. Connect your Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime to your computer via USB
    2. On the smartphone, drag the "Notification" bar down
    3. Tap "Connected as a media device"
    4. Mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
    5. In the AutoPlay window on the computer, click "Open device to view files"
    6. Navigate to where you want to restore the media files
    7. Open a second Windows Explorer window and locate the backed up files
    8. Copy the files from the second window to the first Explorer window, in the desired location on your phone
    9. Once the transfer is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone from the PC

    From a Mac Computer:

    NOTE: If you need to download and install Samsung Kies on your Mac computer, visit Kies, click "Download for Mac OS" and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process

    1. Connect the Galaxy Grand Prime to your Mac via USB
    2. Swipe the "Status" bar down
    3. Tap "Connected as a media device"
    4. Mark the "Media device (MTP)" check box
    5. Launch Kies on the Mac and click the "Back up / Restore" tab
    6. Go to the "Restore" tab and mark the check boxes associated with the types of media files you want to restore, such as "Music", "Photo" etc. Alternatively, click "Select all items" to restore all files
    7. Click "Restore" and follow any additional prompts if necessary
    8. After the process is complete, safely disconnect your smartphone
