    NOTE: You can visit this thread for instructions on how to back up data on the LG K8.

    Restore Content from the SD Card:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset
    3. Under “LG Backup service”, tap “Restore from backup
    4. Select the desired backup file located on the SD card
    5. Tap “Start
    6. At the “Restored” prompt, tap “Done
    7. Your smartphone may require to reboot in order to complete the restore

    Restore Contacts:

    1. Open the apps drawer
    2. Launch “Settings
    3. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset
    4. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup
    5. Select the desired contacts backup file
    6. Tap “Start
    7. At the “Restored” message, tap “Done
    8. Your device may require to reboot to complete the restore

    Restore Media Files From the Phone:

    1. Open the “Settings” menu
    2. Tap “General” > “Backup & reset
    3. Under “LG Backup”, tap “Restore from backup
    4. Locate and select the desired media backup file
    5. Tap “Start
    6. When prompted with “Restore completed”, tap “Restart

    Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

    1. Establish a USB connection between the LG K8 and your computer
    2. At the prompt, enable “Media sync (MTP)”. Otherwise turn on the option from the notification area
    3. On the computer, launch the File Explorer
    4. Locate and copy the media file backups (or the “.sbf” backup file) you want to restore
    5. Paste the files on the phone storage
    6. After the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB
