    Back Up Application Data:

    1. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    2. Open “Settings”
    3. Scroll to “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup and reset”
    5. If necessary, tap “Backup account” > “Google account”
    6. Tap “Add account” and sign in with the Google account you want to use for backup
    7. Turn on “Back up my data” and “Backup account”

    Back Up Contacts on a Samsung or Google Account:

    1. Ensure your device is connected to an active Wi-Fi network
    2. Tap “Apps” on the home screen
    3. Open “Settings” and scroll to “Personal”
    4. Tap “Backup and reset” > “Backup accounts”
    5. Select “HTC account” or “Google account”
    6. Turn on “Automatic Backup” to allow your phone to perform automatic daily backups over Wi-Fi
    7. To back up contacts manually, tap “Back up now”

    Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

    1. Connect the HTC Desire 530 to your PC via USB
    2. On the phone’s home screen, swipe the “Status” bar down
    3. Ensure the device is connected as a “disk drive” or “Media device (MTP)”
    4. On the PC, launch the File Explorer
    5. Use the Explorer to navigate to the phone storage
    6. Copy the media files from your phone and paste them in the desired backup location on the computer
    7. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage from the system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord

    Back Up Media Files on a Mac Computer:

    1. Connect the HTC Desire 530 to your Mac via USB
    2. Access the phone’s “notification” area and make sure “Media device (MTP)” is selected
    3. On the Mac, open the file explorer
    4. Use the file explorer to locate the media files on your phone
    5. Copy the media files and transfer them in the desired backup location on the Mac
    6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone’s virtual drive by dragging it from the desktop and into the “trash can”
    7. Safely disconnect the smartphone from the USB
